The Ottawa Park outdoor ice skating rink is now open for the season, offering fun for the whole community.
Skaters can bring their own skates or rent at the rink. Adaptive ice sleds also are available and can be reserved in advance. Sessions are held daily at scheduled times, and group rates start at 15 participants. Visitors can reserve skates online.
Drop-in hockey is available daily for players looking for a casual scrimmage. Full protective equipment is required, and the first two goaltenders signing up skate free. Freestyle sessions give figure skaters time to work on jumps, spins and programs during private lessons or individual practice.
Families, groups, schools and businesses can rent the ice for celebrations, team building or hockey practices and games. Ice skating birthday parties include skate rental, and guests may bring their own food. Email brandy@sylvaniatamoshanter. com for pricing and availability.
