Just one week after a Homecoming victory over Northview, the Springfield Blue Devils were unable to produce back-to-back wins, falling to the Anthony Wayne Generals, 43-13. The game was largely decided in the first quarter with the Generals in command of the game and seeming to score almost at will. The result was a running clock, which both coaches agreed to in the second quarter. Springfield’s schedule will not get any easier as they will finish the season against two equally tough opponents, Perrysburg Yellow Jackets tonight and Whitmer’s Panthers October 25.
