Before receiving an update on vaccines and quarantine guidelines at the January 19 meeting, the Perrysburg Board of Education was recognized by administrators and students for School Board Recognition Month.
With work now underway at Edward H. Simmons Park adjacent to Bass Pro on Simmons Road, a proposal by Perrysburg Township Trustee Bob Mack to help fund improvements gained some traction.
During a special meeting January 25 and after an hourlong deliberation, Mark Weber was approved in a 4 to 2 vote as Perrysburg City Council’s newest member. He was sworn in by Mayor Tom Mackin at the end of the meeting, which had been convened to choose from among 16 candidates to fill the position left vacant by Jim Matuszak December 31. Mr. Matuszak was elected county recorder in November.
PHS girls swimming takes first at NLL Championships, boys take third, Recker finishes with first in diving
The Perrysburg High School girls and boys swim teams competed at the Northern Lakes League Championships January 23 at Bowling Green State University after the divers started the meet in Napoleon Thursday.
