The Diocese of Toledo has named Kyle Kubik as the new senior director of Catholic education.

Kubik comes to the Diocese from Monroe Catholic Elementary Schools, where he acts as principal and executive director of a school system in Monroe, Michigan. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Notre Dame.

“I am so pleased that Kyle is joining the Diocese of Toledo to oversee Catholic education,” Bishop Daniel Thomas said. “He is a faithfilled man with both the experience and personality to continue to grow this important ministry.”

Kubik also served as principal at Monroe Catholic Elementary Schools, where he taught social studies to sixth and seventh graders, religion to seventh graders, and was responsible for the cathechesis, education and safety of students in preschool to fourth grade.

He received his master’s degree in educational leadership from the University of Notre Dame, and his bachelor’s in education from the University of Toledo.

“I am deeply grateful to Bishop Thomas and the Diocese of Toledo for the opportunity to serve as senior director of Catholic education. I firmly believe in the power of a Catholic education and am eager to support the pastors, principals, students and communities of the Diocese as we work together to form the next generation of disciples,” Kubik said. “In the spirit of Blessed Solanus Casey, I thank God ahead of time for all the great things in store for Catholic Education in the Diocese of Toledo.”

The senior director will provide leadership, direct supervision and manages the Catholic education department team. Kubik will be assisting the Bishop of Toledo in his teaching mission by encouraging and supporting Catholic leaders in parishes and schools.
