Happy Holidays!

This time of year is a good time to reflect on all that we are thankful for and things that bring us joy. A couple of our staff members would like to share what they like about the holidays. We appreciate the students and families, and the opportunities we have each and every day here at Crissey. May you have a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year.

Staff member, Tami Bombick; position, attendance secretary.

The thing I like the most about the holidays is having all of my kids and grandkids together at one time to celebrate together. Lights and decorations also are my favorites.

Staff member, Carrie Pratt; position, social emotional learning coach.

The holidays make me think of the many opportunities we have to light our families, communities and the world through small acts of kindness and/or service. By allowing our light to shine, we give others the chance to do so, too.

Staff member, Angie Reynolds; position, school counselor.

The holidays make me think of family and friends and traditions; I love decorating and remembering where each ornament came from, whether it was homemade, or a gift, or from a family member’s tree or a souvenir from a vacation.

Staff member, Christina Robinson; position, secretary to the principal.

What I like most about the holidays is being together with my family, baking cookies and watching Christmas movies.

Staff member, Nichole Ziegler; position, school nurse.

The holidays make me think of all the times when I was younger, when we would sit and sing Christmas songs around our real Christmas tree. It also reminds me of all the times we would build forts and snowmen out in the snow, as it seems like, back then, we always had snow around the holidays.
