February 7 to 11 was National School Counseling Week. The school counselor plays an important role in your child’s academic success. School counselors provide a variety of services such as academic support, communication and problem solving and character education. Crissey Elementary is fortunate to have Angie Reynolds as our school counselor.
Mrs. Reynolds has been with Springfield Local School District for 21 years. She started her career in the district as a math teacher at Springfield High School. She worked as a school counselor at Springfield High School and Holland Elementary. She plays a major part in our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program, coordinates the monthly character days, Start with Hello week and Red Ribbon week, character education classes, and does a fabulous job making sure that all the state and district testing in the building is well organized and goes smoothly. School counselors have a very important job and Mrs. Reynolds has a passion for helping our students, as well as our school.
