Metroparks Toledo will offer a volunteer orientation on Tuesday, December 17, at Brookwood Metropark, from 6 to 8 p.m. While orientations are not required to volunteer, it is an opportunity to learn about the diversity of programs and gain a better understanding of volunteer service at the parks.
Upcoming Volunteer Programs
•Trash pickup at International Park, every second Wednesday and fourth Sunday. The next date is Sunday, November 24, from 10 a.m. to noon. For those ages 16 and older. Volunteers under 16 must have an adult.

•Window on Wildlife landscape rock cleanout, at Wildwood Preserve Metropark, Metz Stables, on Thursday, November 21, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Help the horticultural staff beautify the Wildwood Window on Wildlife by cleaning the rock bed. This will require lifting small hand-sized stones out of a landscape area, removing dirt and debris, placing stones back into landscape. Volunteers should dress to get dirty. •East Side parking lot landscape rock cleanout, at Wildwood Preserve Metropark, Ward Pavilion parking lot, on Saturday, December 7, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Volunteers are needed to assist as stationary guides, giving visitors reminders as they walk through the historic Wildwood Manor House.
No experience is required. Some positions are adult-only.
