The 50th annual historic Old West End festival will be held June 2 to 4 in Toledo. The neighborhood features a large collection of Victorian, Edwardian and arts and crafts homes.

The mobile mammography unit is customized for patient convenience and will deliver 3D mammograms to women age 40 and older.

Springfield Township residents are invited to use a free dumpster service three times during 2023. Located behind the township building, 7617 Angola Road, Dumpsters Days will be offered from 8 a.m.

The Lucas County Commissioners have awarded a contract to CATTS Construction of Bedford, Ohio, for a bridge rehabilitation project on Garden Road between Perrysburg Holland Road and Holland Sylvania Road in Springfield Township.

Evelyn Thoma, fifth grader from Holland Elementary and her brother, Jack , a first grader at Holloway Elementary both placed in the 2023 WGTE Share a Story competition. Evelyn took first place in the 10-year-old category and Jack earned second place for 6 year olds. The Springfield students wrote stories about community which was the theme for the contest. The League of Women Voters of Toledo-Lucas County invites the public to hear Kristin Romaine-Blochowski speak on “Reform/ Defund the Police?” The meeting is set for Monday, May 15, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Reynolds Corners branch of the Toledo Public Library, 4833 Dorr Street, Toledo.

The Holland Pickleball Club will hold its annual member tournament in June. This year’s tournament will take place at the Strawberry Acres pickleball courts on June 3 and 4.
