Third graders hit the stage at Springfield High School and did a fantastic job at their spring concert. Thank you, Mrs. Mercer, for organizing an amazing performance, and congratulations to our talented third grade class on their wonderful concert. The first grade spring concert is on Thursday, April 20, at 7 p.m., at SHS. We hope to see you there.

SHS students inducted into Penta NTHS

Two Springfield High School students who attend Penta Career Center were among 14 students inducted into the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) during a March 30 ceremony. Madison Hardaway, cosmetology, and William James, information technologies academy, were inducted and recognized for their career-technical achievements.

Free concert set for April 23 at Owens

Lucas County engineer’s office kicks off 2023 construction season

Spring is here and construction season is underway at the Lucas County engineer’s office. The county has 19 projects totaling more than $13 million in funding from federal, state and local sources, ranging from road resurfacing and roundabouts to bridge repair and traffic safety improvements.
