First butterfly of spring season emerges

If March 11 will be a “Nacho Ordinary Monday,” Wednesday March 6, might rate on the “extraordinary” scale for teacher Kelly Kerns and her Dorr Elementary School students. For a few minutes that day, Mrs. Kerns welcomed some of Springfield Township’s finest into her classroom and the students learned valuable information about when to call 9-1-1, what to remember if a friend or family member needs help and practiced important life-sustaining “hands-only CPR” techniques.

Multi-state enforcement yields 504 citations in Ohio

The Ohio Highway Patrol joined forces with other members of the six-State Trooper Project to focus on speed, safety belt and OVI enforcement on I-75. During the project, 504 people in Ohio were issued citations including 454 for speed and 44 for safety belt violations.

BTT to present ‘The Great Pancake Escape’

Ballet Theatre of Toledo (BTT) presents “The Great Pancake Escape,” a humorous and fun-filled ballet about a magician who accidentally mixes up his magic spells with a recipe for pancakes. Tickets cost $25 and are available now for performances on March 22 at 7 p.m. and March 23 at 2 p.m. at the Lourdes University Franciscan Center.
