The Vietnam War is among the most complex conflicts in world history. The war ended in 1975 when South Vietnam surrendered to North Vietnam, but the effects of the conflict continue to reverberate today, nearly half a century later.

Before becoming a classroom teacher or school district administrator, I have always been a learner. As a child and sibling of educators, learning has always been stressed, encouraged and enjoyed. It is with this mindset that I tackle almost every challenge that I face–it’s pretty much a Geha tradition to dig in and learn as much as possible about an issue, topic and/or opportunity. Then, we discuss and at best try to understand the elements that can polarize and create “sides” in a debate.
