Blue Devil Athlete of the Week

Springfield High School’s Mady Yackee is the Athlete of the Week.

Mady recently went head-to-head with some of the best teams in the state at the Prebis Memorial. That week she went 5-1 on the mound with 42 strike outs. She also had 11 hits and eight RBIs for the week.

“Mady has been a huge key to our success with the tough schedule we have faced. Her positivity and leadership on the mound has been instrumental to this group,” said Softball Coach Rob Gwozdz.
