On Thursday, October 3, at 7:30 p.m., the Music Business Technology students from Owens Community College will present the opening concert of the 9th annual Accent on the Arts concert series, featuring the Cleveland Celtic Ensemble. Guests may join for a free workshop at 3:30 p.m. The workshop and concert are partially sponsored by a grant from the Ohio Arts Council.
The Cleveland Celtic Ensemble features a blend of Scottish and Irish bagpipes, whistle, flute, fiddle, harp and dance, creating an intimate, ethereal chamber music setting.
Beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Walter E. Terhune Art Gallery, guests may also enjoy a solo performance by artist Julia LaBay.
Accent on the Arts is a free concert series designed, booked, promoted and presented by Music Business Technology students. The concert will be in the mainstage theatre at the Center for Fine and Performing Arts on the Owens Community College Toledo Campus, 7270 Biniker Road, Perrysburg.
