Crissey Counselor
February 3 through 7 was National School Counseling Week. The school counselor plays an important role in your child’s academic success. School counselors provide a variety of services, such as academic support, communication, problem solving and character education. Crissey Elementary is fortunate to have Angie Reynolds as our school counselor.
Reynolds has been with the Springfield Local School District for 24 years. She started her career as a math teacher at Springfield High School. She has worked as a school counselor at Springfield High School and Holland Elementary. Reynolds plays a major part in our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program, coordinates the monthly character days, our evening character recognition program, Start with Hello week, Red Ribbon week, character education classes and helps out in the car dismissal line, in the lunchroom and during recess. She is always ready to help out to make sure the building is well organized and goes smoothly. School counselors have a very important job and Reynolds has a passion for helping our students, staff and parents.
