Springfield Township “Splash” will be held at Community Homecoming Park, 7807 Angola Road, Holland, on Thursday, January 1.
Crowd gathering begins at noon until 2 p.m., scholarships presented at 12:50 and Splash at 1 p.m.
It is a community tradition for many residents to choose an interesting way to “leap into the new year” (and Homecoming Park’s pond).
This event also will provide the Springfield Township Fire Department Water Safety team with some important on-the-job professional development. Participants and guests will see the team and equipment in the water and on shore that day to make sure that the fun aspects of the event are coupled with safety for all involved.
New this year will be the presentation of three scholarships to Springfield Schools families, for swim lessons for their children identified with special learning needs.
Attendance and parking are free for all Springfield Township event participants.
