First Perrysburg Board of Education meeting of year nets another term for Ray Pohlman, Eric Benington
During a meeting on January 4, the Perrysburg Board of Education nominated and approved Ray Pohlman and Eric Benington for another term as board president and vice president, respectively.
The board also approved:
.The following standing authorizations for 2021: For the treasurer to secure an advance from the county auditor when funds are available and payable to the school district; authorization for the treasurer to make short-term advances as needed from the general fund to various other school funds to ensure their continued operation; For the treasurer to invest interim funds at the most productive interest rate whenever funds are available; For the treasurer to pay all bills within the limits of the appropriation resolution as bills are received and when the merchandise/services have been received in good condition; For the treasurer to review and approve all then and now certificates per ORC 5705.41(D); For the superintendent to employ personnel and accept resignations, as he determines necessary to cover emergency situations; For the director of operations to serve as purchasing agent for the school district; For the treasurer to review and approve expenses related to refreshments for meetings involving the community and/or staff; To establish board service fund for calendar year 2021 at $2 per student (not to exceed $20,000 per board policy 6231); For the treasurer to file with the county auditor the “Estimate of Revenues” for fiscal year 2022; the following firms as official representation for various legal issues for district affairs: Brickler & Eckler, Chester L. Sumpter & Assoc., Spengler Nathanson, Smith, Peters & Kalail Co. LPA, and Scott Scriven LLP.
