School board pleased with proposed school funding model
For longer than the careers of most teachers today, Ohio school districts have been operating under a dysfunctional funding system.
In fact, some parents of today’s students were grade schoolers themselves when the Ohio Supreme Court ruled the system was unconstitutional.
In 2021, state legislators will have the opportunity to change that legacy into a proposed system that has received widespread support throughout Ohio, known as the Fair School Funding Plan.
In November, the Rossford Board of Education approved a resolution urging state legislators to approve the new plan.
