St. Mary Magdalene parish time capsule from 1972 opened
When demolition on the downtown Rossford Schools property finished last summer and the dust settled, a small box of history remained.
That box–a cornerstone from St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church–was opened recently by the seniors group at All Saints Catholic Church.
On May 7, 1972, the cornerstone was blessed and laid at the church on Dixie Highway.
The former church had been part of the Rossford Schools campus since 1998, and it was among the buildings razed in June 2018 to make way for the new facilities now under construction.
