On June 1 parents and sports enthusiasts turned out in full force to cheer on the Springfield High School softball team, which is headed to the state tournament’s Final Four to be played at Firestone Stadium in Akron. At press time, the Blue Devils (24-6) were scheduled to play Watkins Memorial (28-1) on June 2.
