Acrylic Painting: Winter Glow

Offered online via Zoom, Mondays, January 17 and 24, from 12:30 to 2 p.m.

Students will learn to paint a path through the woods with a warm sunset glow on snow and trees. This painting will be completed over the course of three online classes with step-by-step instructions and lots of guidance from the instructor. No experience is necessary. Instructor is Mary Clair Roe. Fee for three-week class is $17.

Evening Yoga for your Health

Offered online via Zoom, Tuesdays, January 18 and 25, from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Students will focus on

Moments in Meditation

Offered online via Zoom, Wednesdays, January 19 and 26, from 11a.m. to noon.

Students will learn subtle yoga, calming breathing techniques followed by guided meditation during weekly interactive virtual meditation sessions. Open to all adults and all levels. Registration is on-going. Instructor is Priti Shah. Fee for three-week class is $5.

Qi Gong & Yin Yoga

Online Zoom class offered on Wednesdays, January 19 and 26, from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.

Students will come together for a nourishing, simple yet challenging, and mindful online practice. Over the course of three weeks, students will cultivate focus, attention, interest and a deep sense of wisdom tapping into the body and mind and allowing stillness to expand and contract. No experience is necessary. Instructor is Angie Corogin. Fee for three-week class is $45.

Morning Yoga for your Health

Offered Thursdays, January 20 and 27, from 10 to 11:15 a.m., via Zoom.

Evergreen Medicine

Offered on Wednesday, January 19, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., outside in the 577 log cabin. Students will learn about

Students will learn about conifers such as pine, spruce and fir, as well as other winter-hardy plants like holly, ivy and mistletoe.

The class will discuss their many properties and uses, as well as natural history and folklore. Students should bundle up to tour the grounds to meet some of these plants, then the class will gather around the fire to review notes with a hot drink. Rain date is January 26, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Instructor is Sarah Williams. Fee is $22.

Creating an Illustrated Field Journal

Online Zoom class offered on Sunday, January 23, from 1 to 2 p.m.

Students will be introduced to the concept of keeping this type of journal and create their first entry and, hopefully, inspired to carry on and fill the remaining pages over time.

Students from previous classes are encouraged to attend to learn new techniques and ask questions. No writing or drawing experience is necessary, only the desire to have some fun while exploring the natural world around us.

Instructor is David Lymanstall. Fee is $16.

All About A Garden

Offered Thursday, January 27, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., via Zoom.

Students will learn everything needed to have a great garden with lots of ideas, garden designs, plant and seed varieties, and maintenance tips for every step of the way.

For anyone growing in containers, this class is applicable too.

Seeds and handouts are included.

Drive-thru pick-up of materials will be in the 577 courtyard on Sunday, January 23, from 10 a.m. to noon. Kits also will be available by appointment. Instructor is Vicki Gallagher, 577 horticulturalist. Fee is $20.
