Works from area artists are on display now through Friday, July 23, at Bowling Green State University as part of the 14th annual Northwest Ohio (Now OH) Community Art Show.
Housed in the Dorothy Uber Bryan gallery in the BGSU fine arts center, the juried Now OH exhibit features 85 works by 34 artists from five northwest Ohio counties.
The exhibit is free and open to the public, and many of the one-of-a-kind works are available for purchase.
The show’s juror for 2021 is Ellen Mensch, an artist, illustrator, curator and adjunct lecturer.
As a juror, she will comment on the awards she selects in a virtual presentation in the gallery’s lobby and online, at BGSU.edu.
Visitors can vote for their favorite piece, which will receive the People’s Choice Award.
Other awards to be selected by the juror, include Best of Show, the BGSU School of Art Award, the Toledo Federation of Arts Societies Award, a Youth Art Award and several others, totaling more than $1,500.
Gallery hours for the exhibit are Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m. and Fridays through Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m.
Parking is free after 7 p.m. and on weekends.
