Call for submissions for Visual Elements 65

Sister cities Sylvania and Woodstock, Ontario, Canada, will be hosting Visual Elements 65, a traveling juried art exhibition in a cross-border celebration of art.

Visual Elements is an annual juried exhibition at the Woodstock Art Gallery, where it has been a showcase of local talent.

This is the 65th anniversary of the exhibition, and with this achievement the idea of creating a traveling show between the sister cities was initiated.

“This is an opportunity for local artists from southwestern Ontario, Sylvania and Toledo to exhibit their work on an international level,” said Mary Reid, director, Woodstock Art Gallery.

Exhibition and submission information can be found at woodstockart gallery.ca., and are open until May 1.

Eligible artists must be either a Sylvania resident, member of the Toledo Federation of Societies or a TFAS organization. To find out more, visit tfas100.org.

Canadian artists Irma Makariunaite and Thelma Rosner and American artists Tamara Monk and Ken Thompson, will be among jury members selecting artwork for the exhibition.

Visual Elements 65 is set to run at the Woodstock Art Gallery July 15 to September 24. The exhibition will be at the Canticle Center Gallery at Lourdes University, October 14 through January 2024.
