Central Catholic to hold scholarship fund-raiser

Central Catholic High School’s 31st annual scholarship fund-raiser, Run For the Roses, Cherry Street Downs, will take place Saturday, March 18, at the Pinnacle in Maumee.

Cocktails and registration begin at 5:30 p.m. The cost per ticket is $100.

The evening includes casino games, food, fun and fund-raising, all to benefit the Central Catholic scholarship fund.

To register, visit scholarship gala website at Central-Catholic.org/scholarshipgala. The ticket purchase serves as an RSVP to the in-person event and grants access to the online auction, which runs from March 4 through March 18, at 10 p.m.

Raffle tickets for a trip to Hawaii are at the website. Proceeds from the raffle also benefit the Central Catholic scholarship fund.

The honorary chairs for this year’s event are Shrader Tire & Oil, Joe Shrader Class of 1979, and the Shrader family. Sponsorship opportunities are available. Call 419-255-2280 for more information.

“This event is the most important fund-raiser that we have,” said Eric Stockard, Central Catholic’s vice president for institutional advancement. “Every dollar we bring in directly benefits student scholarships, which means that the more money we raise, the more students we can impact. Central Catholic has been providing an outstanding education for over 100 years, and we want to be able to continue that momentum for years to come.”

Those who are unable to attend the event in person can bid on online auction items, purchase raffle tickets for the trip to Hawaii or donate online to the student scholarship fund.

All details about the event are available at the scholarship gala website.
