Child Find

Federal and state laws require school districts to evaluate children who have suspected disabilities. These laws affect all school-aged children educated within the Springfield school district boundary and all preschool children who live within the Springfield school district.

Springfield Local School District is looking for children not currently being served by the district for delays or difficulties in: • Speech and language

• Motor skills • Social-emotional behavior • Cognitive development • Adaptive/self-help skills. Any parent or guardian with concerns about their child’s ability or skills, and suspect there may be a disability, should contact their child’s teacher or principal.
