Laura Keyer, commercial restoration specialist for Cousino Restoration, reached out to Springfield Schools before the holidays with an idea to host a school supply drive at the midpoint of the school year. Cousino representatives invited their business partners and area residents to donate to help refill students’ backpacks in 2022. “Thanks to Laura’s efforts, Springfield received more than 6,000 items for distribution to students in Springfield and Maumee school systems,” said Superintendent Matt Geha.
Items donated include manila folders, three-ring binders, crayons, pencils, markers, glue, notebooks, pens, erasers, note cards and pencil sharpeners.
Springfield families in need of supplies should contact their school counselor for assistance, Mr. Geha added.
