The Gathering of Quilters has established meeting dates for 2022. The organization, which promotes the art and craft of quilt making, conducts meetings at 7 p.m., on the third Thursday of each month, September through May at Holland Free Methodist Church, 6605 Angola Road, Holland.
The schedule is:
April 21–Margie Stone will present “Textiles and Fabric from Foreign Places.” She will share stories and show numerous textiles, fabrics and scarves that she has collected during a 20-year foreign service career working for Ecuador, Greece, Italy and India.
•May 19– Carole Carroll will discuss “Miracle Quilts” for wounded troops. She is the coordinator of the group, a division of Desert Angels and founded in March, 2009. She will talk about their history and purpose as a way to thank injured and hospitalized troops for their service to the country.
The quilters’ annual dues are $25, and the guest fee is $5 per month. For more information, visit gatheringof quilters.org.
