The Girl Scout cookie fund-raiser campaign is now underway. Through March 17, local Girl Scouts will be selling nine varieties of cookies across northwest Ohio. The annual event is the world’s largest entrepreneurial program for girls.
All proceeds from cookie sales stay local, subsidizing troop trips, service projects and summer camp adventures.
This season, cookie lovers can select from a full assortment of cookies, including Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Sandwich, Lemonades and Toast-Yay! cookies previously not available in this region.
Residents can reach out to Girl Scouts in the community they know to place an order or go to gswo.org/findcookies to sign up and be notified when booth sales and online ordering begins.
Beginning February 16, customers also will be able to purchase cookies for shipment directly to their homes by entering their Zip code into the Girl Scout cookie finder.
The link can be used to find a local booth or purchase cookies for donation to military and veterans’ organizations and local food banks.
For more than 100 years, Girl Scouts and their supporters have helped ensure the success of the cookie program— have had fun and developed valuable life skills.
