The Village of Holland’s wage and hiring committee has narrowed its list of candidates for the administration position to three people.
At the September 19 meeting, council learned that the committee hoped to set up interviews within the next week or two with the intent of choosing one to be recommended to council at an October meeting.
The candidates are Rudy Ruiz, former Perrysburg fire chief; Marc Glotzbecker, Gibsonburg village manager, and John Rostash, Bucyrus planning and zoning administrator. Other Business In other business, council:
•Approved a contract with Kleinfelder for the repaving project at Spectrum Drive. The firm will perform engineering work at a cost of $32,400.
•Approved the purchase of play equipment from Snider Recreation of North Royalton, Ohio, for $8,200.
•Authorized Clerk/Treasurer Lyn Krasula to redeem the village’s points with Speedway rewards. The $200 will be placed on a gift card for departments to fill their vehicles with gasoline.
•Paid bills totaling $18,110.
The next village council meeting will be at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, in council chambers, 1245 Clarion Avenue, and is open to the public.
