Holland Intermediate

SCHOOL NEWS

What an incredible way to wrap up the school year. Holland Intermediate School recently hosted its annual HPC End-of-Year Bash, and the evening was nothing short of amazing. Families gathered to celebrate the close of another successful school year with laughter, excitement, and community spirit. The event was a tremendous success thanks to the generous support and dedication of many individuals and organizations. Special appreciation goes to Compelled Church, whose group of energetic and enthusiastic volunteers helped the evening run smoothly from start to finish. Their generosity and time made a significant difference in creating such a seamless and enjoyable experience for all.

A heartfelt thank you also goes out to those who arrived early to help with set-up. Your behind-the-scenes efforts helped bring the night to life— and truly made the magic happen.

One of the most anticipated and unforgettable highlights of the night was the dunk tank, which brought joy and laughter to students and families alike. A huge thank you to the brave Holland Intermediate staff members—Mrs. Thurston, Mrs. Smith, Ms. Hendrix, Mrs. Foote, and Ms. Witte—for taking the plunge into icy waters in the name of fun and community spirit!

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire Holland Intermediate staff, dedicated volunteers, the HPC Parent Club, and especially HPC Parent Club President Shannon Polz for her leadership, coordination, and commitment to making this event a success. Her shared information and tireless efforts made the evening a joyful celebration for all.

Thank you to everyone who played a role—big or small—in creating a memorable evening for our students and families. The End-of-Year Bash was a beautiful reminder of the power of community, teamwork, and celebration.

From the Desk of Principal Andy Evans PBIS Tiered Fidelity Report PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports. At Holland Intermediate, we call this the Holland Way, and students are guided by four core expectations: Be respectful, responsible, prepared and safe. The PBIS team meets monthly, and they routinely focus on a plan that targets 14 key components of implementing a successful PBIS system. On May 13, the school was evaluated for the effectiveness of Tier 1 implementation and they scored a 97 percent fidelity for implementation, thus giving Holland its highest rating since beginning as an intermediate school. This is an incredible result that reflects the work of staff, students and families. The team recognizes the need to provide input from community stakeholders, and the team has already begun brainstorming ideas to improve this in 202526.
