Holland Kroger celebrates remodel, donates to food bank

On October 25, Kroger, 7059 Orchard Centre Drive, Holland, celebrated the remodeling of the grocery store.

Kroger officials and employees unveiled the $1.6 million renovation and offered opportunities for patrons to register to win prizes, sample food and take advantage of re-opening specials. “We appreciate our customer’s patience during this process and thank the Holland community for their continued support during our store’s renovations,” said Summer Clingo, Holland store leader.

The newly remodeled 88,437 square-foot store now features upgraded produce, floral and deli/bakery fixtures, expanded dairy, deli, meat and seafood offerings and more. Store hours are 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with pharmacy hours 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., weekdays; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays. The Holland location presently employs more than 21 people.

As part of the celebration, the store presented Johnathan Nichols, coordinator of development and programs at the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank, with a check for $30,000. Mr. Nichols expressed appreciation to the company for its support over the years. “The relationship we have with Kroger is so important. You help make sure kids don’t go hungry at night. Thank you so much for your support,” he said.
