Journal readers are everywhere

From there to here, from here to there, Journal readers are everywhere.

This week’s Journal reader shows that snail mail is not the only form of mail that can arrive late, sometimes years late.

Sandy Hamilton, a former Hidden Harbour resident who now resides in Tampa, Florida, found this photograph on her cellular device recently. “Somehow this photo came up on my phone,” she explained. “It was taken in September 2016, and I meant to send it in after we returned.”

The photograph of Ms. Hamilton and her husband Jorge Alfaro was taken “at the Lesidi Cultural Center in South Africa.”

Since that time, Ms. Hamilton relocated to Florida and her husband passed away in 2018.

Readers and advertisers are encouraged to submit photos of themselves with the newspaper while on vacation. Try to include a familiar background. For example, the Kit Carson home makes a good background for a reader visiting Taos, New Mexico. Photos may be submitted by email to editor@hollandsfj.us or by mail to the Journal, P.O. Box 267, Perrysburg, Ohio 43552. If photos are sent by mail and need to be returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Please note the name of the person(s) in the photo and their hometown/business as well as any other details you may want to add about the trip.
