Keep Toledo/ Lucas County Beautiful announces the return of Green Time in the 419,
its annual fundraising celebration dedicated to environmental progress and community engagement. The event will take place on Thursday, September 4, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Ostrich Towne in Toledo’s historic Vistula Neighborhood.
The event brings together local leaders, businesses and community members for an evening of live music, local cuisine, craft beverages and environmental networking, all in support of a cleaner, greener Toledo and Lucas County. Tickets are $20 and include event admission, food and one drink ticket.
“As the executive director of Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful, I’m incredibly proud of the momentum we’ve built over the past several years,” said Adam Cassi. “This event is a chance to celebrate the progress we’ve made, rally support for what’s ahead and recognize the individuals and organizations helping drive environmental change in our region.”
Proceeds from the event directly support Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful’s hands-on programs, including litter cleanups, recycling education, hard-torecycle drop-off events, community tree plantings and more. In 2024, Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful supported over 6,400 volunteers, reached more than 5,000 residents through education, and helped divert over 58,000 pounds of hardto- recycle materials from landfills. This year, funds also will help plant 100 new trees in Toledo’s Point Place neighborhood, to replace those lost during the 2023 tornadoes.
The event is made possible through the generous support of sponsors, including Recycle Services, Welch Packaging and First Solar. Sponsorship opportunities are still available for businesses and organizations that wish to align with Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful’s mission and gain recognition for their commitment to environmental responsibility.
