Hudson Gallery will present an exhibition entitled “This Land II” at its downtown Sylvania space.
The exhibition features oil and acrylic paintings and pastel drawings by invited artists Jan Dyer, Alan Maciag, Justin Kellner, Susan Morosky, Angela Saxon and Merrilee Drakulich. The exploration of fields, forests and shorelines is a continuing source of inspiration for all six artists.
While the artists in this exhibition convey the physical appearance of the places they love in their work, it is the emotional connection each has built with the environment that drives their work.
Each artist has developed his or her own distinct process to explore this familiar subject.
An opening reception is set for Friday, October 7, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
