The Lucas Soil and Water Conservation District (LSWCD) will host a backyard conservation celebration and native plant sale at their office, 3350 Hill Avenue, Suite K, Toledo, from 3 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, May 10.
Free and open to the public, the family-friendly event provides visitors with a one-stop-shop for backyard conservation.
Items available for purchase include native plants, rain barrels, compost bins, soil test kits, bird houses, bat shelters and more.
There also will be a children’s activity, information tables and LSWCD staff on hand to answer questions.
