National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Wood County will host a family and friends seminar on Saturday, November 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at 1250 Ridgewood Drive, Bowling Green.
The free seminar will provide information to those who have loved ones with a mental health condition and how to best support them. It is an opportunity to meet others in similar situations and gain community support.
The seminar is led by trained individuals who have personal experience of supporting a family member with a mental health condition.
Participants will gain:
•understanding of diagnoses, treatment and recovery
•effective communication strategies
•the importance of self-care
