Celebrate Earth Day with a kickoff event on Saturday, April 20. Nature’s Nursery will bring music and wildlife together in a collaboration for the critters. The nursery, along with classical duo, Deux Saisons, welcomes guests to Trilby Park, 3125 Shawnee Road, Toledo, from 11 a.m. to noon.
Earth Day is an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generations. Nature’s Nursery Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation works tirelessly to promote environmental conservation and education and habitat preservation. The event is a way for the community to learn more about the important role that wildlife plays in the environment while enjoying natureinspired music.
The concert will be performed by Deux Saisons which features soprano Keri Lee Pierson, and classical guitarist Christopher Schoelen playing music that will be a mix of nature-inspired works for voice and guitar. Some of the Nature’s Nursery animal ambassadors will be in attendance along with artifacts and information about wildlife rehabilitation.
The event is free to attend but donations are accepted. Event registration is requested at natures-nursery.org/events.
