Outstanding seniors recognized

Penta Career Center held its 57th Senior Recognition ceremonies last month on the Penta campus.

This year, 801 seniors from career-technical programs–as well as satellite marketing education and career based intervention programs–received career passports. Each passport contained a certificate of completion signed by the student’s instructor, supervisor, high school director and superintendent. They also included a list of the student’s courses and outcomes; a personal data sheet, and other documents listing the accomplishments.

During the ceremonies, Outstanding Student awards were presented to 52 seniors–two from Springfield High School–based on performance and excellence in their individual career-technical program.

Outstanding Students from Springfield are Christian Dennis, culinary arts, and Corey Channell, digital video production.
