The students of Owls Nest Learning Center, at First Baptist Church of Holland, held a car wash on July 19 to raise funds for the center’s classrooms.
“The children raised $213 washing cars, and they are so thrilled to be able to buy new items for their classrooms,” said Ms. Carolyn, owner of the center.
“Although the younger children did not fully understand the concept, the older children were able to learn about handling money, cost versus profit, etc. It was a very educational experience, and they are so excited to be able to use money they earned to purchase items for the classrooms.”
