The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred on August 21, at approximately 5:25 a.m., on South Holland Sylvania Road at Garden Road, in Springfield Township.
Daisha M. Tisdale, 29, of Holland, was operating a 2004 Chevrolet Impala southbound on South Holland Sylvania Road when she failed to stop for the red traffic light at Garden Road.
She then proceeded to drive off the roadway striking multiple items in a nearby apartment complex before her car rolled over and caught fire. Tisdale was pronounced deceased at the scene.
She was wearing her safety belt and alcohol and drug impairment is not suspected. The crash remains under investigation.
Patrol was assisted on scene by the Lucas County Sheriff’s Office, Springfield Township Fire and EMS, the Lucas County Coronor’s Office and Bubba’s Towing.
Patrol reminds motorists to drive the speed limit and to use extra caution while driving through intersections.
