The music of Ragtime Rick will be featured Sunday, September 10, at Providence Lutheran Church on Airport and Albon roads. There will be one rally day worship service at 10:30 a.m. A craft show and silent auction will follow the service in the family life center along with a potluck lunch.
The craft show and silent auction is a fund-raiser to get the church’s bell tower running again. They want the Springfield/Holland community to feel a sense of calm and peace when it is heard again.
The Bring Back the Bells craft show will feature handmade jewelry, photo puzzles, fall wreaths and swags, and chocolate coated cookies, as well as other items. Reusable canvas tote bags will be offered for $10 each. Fused glass items, a handmade kaleidoscope pattern lap quilt, a quilted Christmas wall hanging and gift baskets will be in the silent auction.
The public is invited to both the rally day service and the craft show. Cash or checks payable to Providence Lutheran Church will be accepted. Donations to the bell tower fund also would be appreciated.
