The Springfield High School Academic Boosters are busy preparing for After Prom 2024.
A long-standing tradition, After Prom provides students with a fun, safe place to enjoy time together following prom.
This year’s event will take place Saturday, April 13, at the University of Toledo Recreation Center.
Students will have full use of the facilities, including the pool, and gymnasium for basketball and volleyball.
There also will be board games, food, live entertainment and prizes.
“This is a large project that requires extensive funding, planning and organizing,” said Jenni King of the After Prom committee.
She added, “The price of student tickets will not cover our costs, and we are seeking prize donations or financial support.”
Those wishing to donate funds may write a check to SHS Academic Boosters with After Prom labeled in the notation. Checks may be dropped off at the SHS main office or mailed to SHS Academic Boosters, 1470 South McCord Road, Holland, Ohio, 43528.
Organizers also are seeking prize donations such as gift cards to restaurants, pizza, gas or retail stores, and food items including packages of Gatorade or dollar boxes of candy.
Other ideas for donations are Cedar Point, Walleye or Mudhens tickets; local entertainment such as bowling, puttputt, go karts, or escape rooms, and thermos-like cups or small coolers.
Donations will be accepted through Monday, April 8, and may be dropped off at the SHS main office labeled with the donor’s name and After Prom.
