It’s the holiday season and a busy time for the Springfield Local Schools’ JROTC program. On December 3, the cadets participated in the annual Home for the Holidays parade in downtown Perrysburg, above. They performed a drill, below, before a large crowd that didn’t let rain dampen their holiday spirits.
This weekend, the JROTC is preparing for its annual holiday tradition, Breakfast with Santa. The event will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. in the cafeteria at Springfield High School, 1470 South McCord Road, Holland, and is open to the public. Patrons will be treated to a pancake and sausage breakfast, visits with Santa Claus and a craft table.
