Springfield Township fire department’s 20th annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial will take place at Station No. 1, at noon, Saturday, October 9.
Area residents, former members of the department and family members of the fallen lifetime members will be present to recognize those who dedicated their lives to the community.
The memorial plaque outside the station currently has 76 members listed in remembrance with three being added this year.
They are firefighters Roy F. Showman, Douglas K. Carpenter and Ronald House.
Following the service, there will be an open house with refreshments. Guests have the opportunity to view equipment used by the fire department.
