Springfield High School officials remind parents to follow rules of the road dropping off or picking up their student each day.
When entering the campus from McCord Road or Hall Street, remember that left turns are prohibited. “This is a traffic law and we would hate to see parents or students receive tickets for violations,” Principal Robb Brown said.
Stopping on Hall Street for any reason is not allowed. “This is a public road, and the Holland Police Department will issue citations to anyone choosing to break the law,” he added.
For everyone’s safety, students should be dropped off or picked up in the student parking lot or on the driveways in front of the high school.
The bus loop that runs parallel to the stadium behind the high school is not a drop-off or pick-up site and can result in a traffic citation, Mr. Brown said, adding, “The administration building parking lot should not be used either.”
