The Toledo Humane Society, 827 Illinois Avenue, Maumee, will host Pumpkin Paws from 1 to 3 p.m., Saturday, October 1.
The event is open to children ages 7 to 11 and the cost is $25 per child. Participants will make some tasty treats for canines and toys for the furry felines.
There also will be a scavenger hunt around the shelter and an opportunity to decorate and take home a pumpkin.
Children will be able to enjoy some tender loving care time with the society’s adoptable pets. Space is limited to 15 children. To participate, call 419-891-0705 or visit toledohumane.org.
