The Toledo Museum of Art (TMA) has announced open registration for its summer art class sessions, offering a range of classes designed to spark creativity in participants of all ages and skill levels. From painting and printmaking to glassblowing and digital illustration, TMA’s art instructors provide hands-on opportunities in a world-class setting.
Most summer classes begin June 9, but a few adult classes begin in May. Scholarships are available to help make art education accessible for everyone. For more information about scholarships and application deadlines, visit toledomuseum.org/ learn/scholarships.
Highlights include classes in fused glass, watercolor techniques, sculpture and special youth workshops designed to inspire younger artists. Many classes draw direct inspiration from TMA’s collections and exhibitions, creating learning experiences that connect personal creativity with the art on view in the galleries.
In addition, summer camps run from June 9 to August 1, Monday through Friday, with a break for the week of the Fourth of July. Two sessions are offered—one from 9 a.m. to noon and the other from 1 to 4 p.m.
Most classes include all necessary supplies and are offered at a discounted rate for TMA members. To view the full schedule, class descriptions, registration information and deadlines, visit toledomu seum.org/learn/classes-work shops or call 419-255-8000.
