Ready to hang up an extra stocking for a temporary furry friend this holiday season?
Toledo Humane Society’s “Home for the Holidays” foster event is back.
The staff and volunteers at THS want nothing more than for every one of the animals to celebrate the holiday season in a warm and loving home–and with the help of the local community, they can clear the shelter for the holidays.
Short-term fostering is a way to give back this time of year.
THS provides the supplies, and fosters provide the loving home environment. THS is seeking foster families for cats, dogs, bunnies, hamsters, along with others, not yet adopted before Christmas.
Pick up times will be scheduled throughout the day on December 23, with return appointments ranging from December 28 through 30 or January 4 through 6, depending on the type of animal fostered.
Applications are available at toledohumane.org/eventsand- programs/home-forthe- holidays.
Interested individuals should complete an application and submit it to the foster department at foster@toledo humane.org by Thursday, December 15.
