The Ability Center of Greater Toledo, along with the Disability Aging Rail Coalition (DARC) and All Aboard Ohio, is hosting train day.
The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, May 10, at One Government Center, 640 Jackson Street, Toledo.
The event features guest speakers John Esterly, Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen; Ohio Representative Michele Grim; Stuart James, executive director of the Ability Center; Toledo Councilwoman Theresa Morris; Katie Shelley, Conda Family manager of access initiatives, Toledo Museum of Art, and Sandy Spang, executive director of the Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments.
They will speak in support of expanded access to rail with an emphasis on accessibility for individuals with disabilities.
The event is free to attend, and registration is encouraged.
There will be local food trucks and live music by Organized K-OS.
