Westwinds Community Church brings generosity and hope to Springfield students

Springfield Local Schools is proud to recognize the generosity of Westwinds Community Church (formerly Compelled Church) and Pastors Matt and Mandie Reinhart. This community partner has already made a significant impact and breakthrough on the lives of Holloway Elementary students, families and staff throughout the district.

Over the past few weeks, Westwinds Community Church organized an outpouring of back-to-school supply donations, providing Holloway Elementary students with the tools they need to start the school year off right. From notebooks and backpacks, to essential classroom supplies, students are now fully equipped for success.

In addition, Westwinds went above and beyond by paying off the entire student lunch debt at Holloway Elementary, covering a total of $714. This act of compassion ensures that every student can focus on learning without the stress of unpaid balances or poor bagged lunches due to financial barriers.

“Partnerships like this show what it truly means to care with surrender and compassion for our students and community,” said Springfield Local Schools PR, Tayler Redinger. “Westwinds Community Church has set a powerful example of generosity and kindness that will be felt throughout the school year and beyond.”

Adding to their presence, Westwinds Community Church now holds Sunday services at Holloway Elementary, spreading grace and love throughout the halls at the start of each week and fostering a sense of community for students, staff and families alike.

Springfield Local Schools extends its thanks to Westwinds Community Church and their dedicated congregation for demonstrating what it means to love our neighbors. Their support is a blessing to students, families and staff, and a reminder of the difference strong community partnerships can make.
