In preparation of Wild Lights weekend, the Wood County Park District will host a workshop on Wednesday, January 17, from 4 to 7 p.m. Register by Wednesday, January 10, at wcparks.org, or by calling 419-3531897.
Participants can adopt a station to decorate in a friendly competition and community tradition.
The contest is free to enter and there are cash prizes.
Approximately 1,000 community members will see the creations and names of participants will be posted with the displays. This is a teambuilding activity for service groups and offices.
Individuals, groups and organizations can develop a theme and decorate one of the life-sized 3D foam animals. The displays will be showcased during the Wild Lights weekend Friday through Sunday, January 19-21, from 5 to 8 p.m. each day.
Visitors can stroll the illuminated forest to see and vote for a favorite display. They can warm up with hot chocolate, cookies, games and a photo station inside the nature center.
No registration is needed and open to all.
